I've recently started tying my own sewin & salmon flies but I don't see myself tying so many as to justify spending £30-40 or more on a JC cape (my wife especially doesn't!).

Would anybody be interested in sharing the cost of or selling a part of a jungle cock cape?

If anyone is interested could they contact me by PM and maybe we can sort something out.

Cheers

Hello Diawl Bach

Here is a link to a site that sells Half capes http://www.fishermensfeathers.com/uk/junglecock.htm. I've got to be honest though 30 or 40 quid will only buy you a half cape.
You get what you pay for with these and if you want my advice spend a little extra and get quality and quantity of usable feathers.

Have a look at

http://www.reelsndeals.com/

or ebay.

There are other great uses for the JC.

The striped feathers behind the eyes make great little Spider patterns, can be used in Matuka styled flies, or if stripped they make a lovely tail for nymphs.

£30 might get you a decent one, but you'll have to look!
