Very nice AA, really like the colours used!

What type of hackle feathers have you used, they look like they would be nice and flowing when in the water. Alot of the hackles I have (chinese cock hackles i think) i find the fibres are a bit thin? Maybe they are poor quality??

Great tyings

Hi dB,

I use schlappen hackles as there very webby and they give the fly a lot of movement in the water, a lot of tiers use hen whitting hackles for the same reasons i give but i cant find a good reliable source as yet.

Thanks AA, thats really helpful. The webby type of hackle is what I'm looking for, i get a few with the hackles I have but not many.

Thanks dB.

I can personally vouch for AA's flees especially the " Ness C " &
" Flamethrower " as they have both landed me quite a few salmon ;)

Well worth the wait :D

Cheers,
