Silver Stoat

As Kalahari will attest, you can catch all species of game fish on a well presented silver stoat. Trout large and small, sea trout, salmon and even grayling have been taken by that man on said fly. So my question: If the fish are rising and it is obviously the time to fish 'on top' of the water, does anyone have a dressing or suggestions for a dry silver stoat pattern..?

The Silver Stoat is better than he says, well presented is not within my poor casting armoury. I think just presented would be nearer the truth!

Palmered black cock over a silver body with crest tail would do it on a light wire hook.

Or tie a black and silver humpy using squirrell tufts and black deer belly?

How about a smallish muddler head on it so that the silver body and yellow tail sit just sub surface while the head creates a little wake.

Or a 'Silver Pennel' but substituting the hen hackle for a cock hackle.
