    With current EA Regulations NO SALMON may be taken before 16th June.

    It is therefore important to recognise the differences between Salmon & Sea Trout, Bylaws and club rules must be checked prior to fishing.

    I suppose the best way to target catching a big sea trout is to fish rivers, like the Towy or Dyfi, that are noted for runs of big fish. Having said that, even small rivers like the Elwy will produce occasional double figure fish, but they aren't easy to catch. Let's hear some tips for catching big fish - flies, lines, month, time of night, type of pool or anything else that might help others to catch that elusive lunker.
