I am very concerned that they seek the views of sea anglers on the matter of enforcement but not those of freshwater fishermen. Is this because they know the answer or because their funders would not allow the inclusion?? I think it stinks, but would be happy to hear a logical explanation for the omission.

Last Chance to Have Your Say in the National Angling Organisation Survey, and to add your comments about lack of chance to comment on lack of bailiffs.

To read this email in your web browser click here

Hundreds of angling organisations have taken part in the National Angling Organisation Survey run by the Angling Trust and supported by the Environment Agency. Join them NOW in having your say about the future of angling.

You can take part by clicking here:
www.anglingtrust.net/anglingorganisationsurvey

The survey closes on August 31st so you have just over a week to take part.

The survey is specifically for those involved in running angling-related organisations in England And Wales, including organisations that may use angling only as part of what they do (e.g. youth organisations).

The data gathered will help us write a National Angling Participation Plan which aims to improve your fishing and get more people to go fishing.

So take part here:
www.anglingtrust.net/anglingorganisationsurvey

The research is being carried out by research cooperative Substance who researched the Fishing for Answers report (www.resources.anglingresearch.org.uk).

If you have already completed the survey and want to reccomend that a friend or colleague does the same please click here to forward them this email.

Also done, I told them the EA should no longer have jurisdiction over angling, I think we could do a lot better with the funding going to river boards.

Unfortunately, the EA is the spawn of the river boards...many staff migrated from the River boards, water authorities through the evolution of fishery management to the NRA and hence the EA...nothing will change !
Politicians set up the now inept organisation that it has become...staffed by people who have no vocational interest looking forward to a cushy pension as a reward for coasting quietly, ignoring the real problems and not rocking the boat for fear of screwing up their PRP and KPI scores...
You should read the national weekly angling press Online reports ( Angling Times and Anglers Mail) to see the lack of action and response to customer complaints
" Don't Hold your breath Nothing will change"
The Forthcoming marriage in Wales of the EA , CCW and the forestry bodies will the final blow to what was once many years ago a organisation with purpose and many bailiffs of those times pre 1996 view the changes with deep regret.
