mepps 4 have worked very well for me on both the sea trout and salmon front

This month my son Jared(17) landed his first atlantic salmon on the Hampshire avon folowing my capture a week earlier.

My wife bought me a HD cam - so I managed to capture the footage

Hi Paul,
Firstly, welcome to the forum, I hope you find it useful and informative..Well done to Jared, a first Salmon is a never to forget occurrence, and especially to have it on video.. I know how good the Hamp,s Avon can be, i used to fish it a lot years on the Royalty & Christchurch & district waters... (Netted a 13.5lb Sea trout for a mate)

I started Game fishing at the Royalty and know the waters well. a 13.5lb sea trout is a fish of a life time! Did you get an pics?
