Fond memories of fishing the Tywi, over ten years since I fished it, bigger river than the Dyfi and some great Fly water. If I lived nearer Iíd add it to my Dyfi fishing ( also if I was single and didnít have to work I suppose)

Ten years ago there was a waiting list!

Back in 1990 when I went on as a senior there was a 16 year waiting list, I and my 4 friends went on immediately as we had been juniors for over 5 years. I would love to have 5 youngsters joining the club in the same year these days. Fishing not what it once was sadly Andy.
    Cheers

My brother and I had a few hrs spinning yesterday at Golden Grove. Nothing to report fish wise, other than a couple of suicidal small brownies. We did notice that the water seemed very cold for the beginning of May. Hopefully this nice bit of water coupled with the forecast warm spell might kick things into life. Nice to be back out and it certainly beats looking at the walls of the local hospital or dialysis centre!

To all permit holders of Cymdeithas Pysgota Llandeilo Angling Association:

We have negotiated access with the landowner for the small gate downstream of the Stone Bridge. This is the access point to fish the glide upstream of the bridge. Due to anti social behaviour we have put a combination lock on this gate.
If you fish this beat, please send me a PM, and i'll send you the code. One of our agreements with the landowner is that only anglers use the gate. We will ensure that for next season the code will be in the newsletter.

With the long spell of dry weather has the fishing picked up at all....? Better than the periods of high and dirty water faced last summer...?

    Right then something to report.
Fished the Tywi at Llandeilo on Saturday night. I saw three sewin jump, turned 3 on the surface lure, and caught one of around 5-6lb on my easy to tie Surface Lure fish returned. Off the mark!

Well done, Aled, good to hear you're off the mark and a cracking size of fish as well.
