    Default River Wear Clubs

Hi - is there anyone here that is a member of either the Felling Fly Fishers or the Tyneside Anglers Syndicate and who fishes on the River Wear beats as I am interested in joining one or both and would appreciate some information/advice? Thanks in advance.

If you are thinking of joining both clubs some of the beats below Durham have 3 exchange tickets allowing access to each others beats.

Thanks for responding - i was aware of the exchange facility (not sure how it works in principle though) - I am more interested in where exactly the actual beats are on the Wear and more specifically where the parking is as that is quite key when fishing at these locations. Any assistance there would be appreciated.

I'm in Felling and as far as im aware we dont need to get an exchange ticket. We just put note in the car saying how many rods are on the water. Three is the max.

Thanks Boz. Does that mean only 3 rods can fish a beat or 3 rods from each Club?

Also regarding the three beats on the Wear how do you get to the 'Rainton' one is there access from the A690 for example? And would you say all the beats are fairly private and safe (especially for parked cars)?
    Thanks

Its three rods each for both clubs Brandon. . Both club members generally park at low grange Farm just off the 690 near the A1 roundabout, then walk down stream fishing towards Rainton/Moorehouse woods or upstream if you want to fish the felling stretch. The viaduct is the boundry for both club waters. Theres is also access at Moorhouse Adventure Centre, but it mainly benefits Felling members. For TAS best park at Low Grange Farm, starting straight down the field from the farm and fish down stream toward Rainton/ moorhouse woods. Head toward the A1 from Durham along the 690, then about 100 yards before the roundabout turn left, then at the bottom of the lane right and keep going to Low Grange Farm. The track to LGF has private road signs but dont worry, just park at the farm and go fishing.
