    Default Feels sea trouty!

This warm weather makes me think about dusting off the sea trout gear ready for the season. Unfortunately the rivers are low and full of gunk, which isnít a great start but hopefully we get some good water to clear it all out before the season begins properly. Is anyone else getting twitchy?!

Very twitchy! So much so in fact that I've had two short sessions already. Very cold and fruitless nights with the sense that there are few, if any, fish in the river just yet. Nice to get out on the river though and think about what might be in a month or two. A few weeks ago I was tying up dry flies and this week I'm tying Snake Flies! Can't wait until it gets going.

I'm always itching to get out Si but I've promised myself this season that I'm not going to flog away with very little chance of connecting with a sea trout, until they do arrive.
I'm going to concentrate of fishing for trout & grayling with the czech nymphing & dry fly fishing.
