The Assembly Government is of the view that fish eating birds are not an issue in Wales. Why? Because only 6 applications were made to protect fisheries by killing these birds last year. If you wish to know how to apply to kill these birds and how to complete the application form, the form and guidance can be downloaded from the Campaign for the Protection of Welsh Fisheries web site www.cpwf.co.uk I think you should bring this to the attention of fishery owners, clubs and anybody else with fisheries interests. Over to you.
I might add that the reason the Government are of the view poaching is not a problem is for the same reason: nobody reports it! Please report all incidents, however apparently trivial, by visiting the web site www.cpwf.co.uk clicking on the report an incident tab and completing the form.
