Thought I'd start a thread for the River Afan in South Wales. As with most rivers in Wales, we've experienced very low water levels throughout the summer, which has had a big impact on the sewin run. However, the heavy rain over the past week or so has brought a significant run of fish into the system, and several Afan club members have caught good numbers of sewin in the past few days.
My lad and I managed a few hours on the river yesterday afternoon, and managed three between us. My lad's was the best at around 2.5lbs and gave an almighty scrap! Another club member landed a stunning fish of around 6lbs.
Cheers,
Rhod
