Ah well, here we go again with another season.
The opening ceremony took place on the 25th of February and was held on the DGAA beat who have been going for 100 years.
Last years returns showed an increase in Salmon and Grilse compared to the previous year which was good to see.
Sea trout numbers however were poor as expected, no doubt the lowest since catches were recorded. 🙁 Let's hope there's an upturn this season.
It's good to see the days are stretching out. Took this pic of the Cample burn at 6.25pm last night when walking down the Kirkbog Road. In the summer I'll be heading down this same road for a bit of sea troot fishing, albeit a good few hours later. Tight lines to anyone having a cast this season.
